Meet the folks that split the wood, haul buckets of sap, feed the fire, monitor the boil and brave days without sleep to provide pure Vermont maple syrup for your table. 


Glenn Cahilly-Bretzin

       Glenn grew up with the orchard as his playground and when it came time to take the helm, he led the restoration of sugaring operations. Outside of the sugaring season Glenn working on a doctorate in Mediaeval Studies. 


Aaron Fornier

Aaron Fornier

Aaron has been sugaring in Vermont for many years. When he is not running the boil you can find him making snow and grooming the slopes, scouring the forests for chantrelles or creating masonry masterpieces. You can check out his work at Frosted Fern Masonry.


Jon, Zeb and Sam

Sam and Zeb originally sugared in Maine but relocated to the Mad River Valley several years ago to farm.

Jon came from Austin, Texas and works as a landscaper as well as  land surveyor. 


Jon Barone

Mr. Barone is manager of Kilwin's Chocolate & Ice Cream in Annapolis. However he returns to the green mountains of his native land to sugar. 


Garret White

A poet, gentleman, Vermonter and solid guy.


Kyle Dash

Native of the Mad River Valley, Kyle has recently graduated Harwood Union High School. Among his many passions is cross-country running.


Amrit Singh

PhD candidate in Cognitive Science at Cornell University. 


Patrick Markley

A fine cook, fantastic jazz musician and Vermont to the bone.
